YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy notice

How this independent website handles enquiries.

Updated 2026-11-02.

Who handles information?

Stephen Meredith, sole trader operating Shrewsbury Pest Control, is responsible for the information collected by this website. Use the enquiry form and choose Privacy request to contact the operator about information handling. The property postcode is optional for that request.

What is collected?

The enquiry form collects your name, email, optional phone number, property postcode for project enquiries, the selected topic and the description you provide. It also records a reference, receipt time and review status. Do not include payment data, medical details, access codes or other sensitive personal information.

Why it is used

Information is used to review and respond to your request and discuss possible next steps. The site relies on taking steps at your request where relevant and legitimate interests in operating a secure, useful enquiry service. Enquiries are not treated as permission for unrelated marketing.

Storage and providers

Enquiries are stored in the website’s Cloudflare D1 database through OpenAI Sites hosting. OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare, process hosting and technical service information. Providers may process data outside the UK under their applicable safeguards. The configured operator account can access the protected inbox; its administration is not a public page.

No automatic forwarding

This version stores enquiries in the protected inbox. It does not automatically email them, forward them to a contractor or subscribe you to marketing. If an introduction is proposed, the intended recipient is explained and your agreement is requested first. A separately appointed professional is responsible for their own information handling.

Retention and abuse protection

Unconverted enquiry records are normally kept for up to 180 days from submission. Routine cleanup removes older website records when the enquiry service or operator inbox is used. Necessary separate correspondence or records may be kept longer where there is a contract, complaint or legal requirement. The form uses a salted, daily-changing hash of network information to limit abuse; the raw address is not saved in the enquiry table. Hosting providers can retain their own technical logs under their policies.

Your requests

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to relevant processing or request a restriction where applicable. Use Privacy request on the form, including only the details needed to identify the enquiry and your request. The operator will consider it and may need to establish identity. You can also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and analytics

No optional analytics or advertising scripts are installed in this version. The form can work without marketing or analytics cookies. Hosting authentication and security may use necessary cookies or process technical request information. The information pages and enquiry form are publicly accessible. The operator inbox requires sign-in and is restricted to the configured site operator. If analytics or different processors are added, this notice and the relevant choices must be updated.
